David Jones, MP for Clwyd West, has welcomed the National Lottery grant to the Llanfwrog Community Association.
The grant was one of a number made to groups based in the Clwyd West constituency that received £14,582 worth of funding under the ‘Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All’ small grants programme.
Llanfwrog Community Association will use the grant to install new external stairs and a wheelchair platform which will improve access for all user groups. This grant for £5,000 will fund stair concrete base, stairs, electrics and wheelchair platform stair lift.
The Big Lottery Fund has funded 529 projects in Clwyd West since 2004, with a total value of £20,574,566.

“Money is helping to establish groups, societies and clubs, promoting learning, increasing volunteering opportunities and helping to build stronger communities.’
David Jones said:
“When the National Lottery was introduced by the then Conservative government in 1994 it was hailed as ‘the most successful innovation of any government for years’.
“23 years on, we can still see the National Lottery providing huge benefits to communities the length and breadth of the country.”
