JONES APPOINTED TO BREXIT DEPARTMENT

Westminster, 19 July 2016

Clwyd West MP, David Jones, has been appointed by the Prime Minister to the office of Minister of State at the new Department for Exiting the European Union.

David Jones, who has been the Member of Parliament for Clwyd West for 11 years, was the leader of the successful Vote Leave campaign in Wales.

David Jones said:

“I am very honoured and delighted to have been appointed to this role.

“On June 23, the British people voted to leave the European Union. The role of the new Department will be central to the delivery of the Government’s pledge to take Britain out of the European Union.

“I have long been a campaigner for British withdrawal from the EU, and I am excited to be given such a central role in delivering what the public voted for last month.”
