MP HOLDS PENSIONERS’ ADVICE FAIR

Posted on 6th February, 2017

For the third year, David Jones, MP for Clwyd West, will be hosting a pensioners’ information and advice fair, to help pension-aged people, their family, friends and carers learn more about public services in the area.

The fair, which will host a variety of organisations all under one roof, will take place on Friday 10th February in St Paul’s Church, Colwyn Bay.

The organisations attending include North Wales Police, the Citizens Advice Bureau, Conwy Social Services, Community & Voluntary Support Conwy, Colwyn Bay Townscape Heritage Initiative, and Cartrefi Conwy.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

David Jones MP said:

‘I receive a large number of requests for information and support from people in the constituency, around a quarter of whom are over 65.

‘It is extremely important that older people are listened to and can fully understand the range of services available to them.

‘I am very grateful to all the organisations who have agreed to attend and look forward to welcoming them along with members of the public on the day.’

The fair, which is free to attend and welcomes all local pension-aged people, will take place from 11am to 3pm on Friday 10th February in St Paul’s Church, Colwyn Bay.
